2010 MATERIAL UPDATE

Note:
Before proceeding...If you have added materials to the RCS database that cannot be found within the ASME Electronic Stress Tables, C-Stl., etc., copy \rcswin\mt\mtall.a09 to \rcswin\mt\mtall.10 and these materials will be retained.

To update MTALL.10 using MTALL.A09 material list...

From the RCSWin main window, select Tools->Administrative-Material Update

Select the options as desired and run. If you need help with this, contact RCS.


SUMMARY OF CHANGES AND UPDATES (01.01.11)

(1) RCSWin now includes the UHX calculations as part of the Execute All batch system.

    (a) Default settings for UHX batch system are in a new page in the RCS setup. Go to [tools] [setup] [RCS] [page 8] to make changes to the default settings.

    (b) How the UHX system is used within the RCSWin Execute All batch system:

        (1) The RCS Flange program is run first using TEMA tubesheet calculations to come up with a tubesheet thickness and gasket g.

        (2) The g diameter is added to the flange codes with code 50 to retain a flange g to be used by the UHX program.

        (3) At this point the UHX program is run using settings from the flange program and settings made by page 8 of RCS setup. UHX runs by ignoring menus and using data as specified above. Code 57, tubesheet thickness hold, from UHX program is sent to the flange program. The flange program will be rerun using the tubesheet thickness based on UHX.

(2) Floating head program corrected so it would not crash on autorun.

(3) Corrected flag file for ANSI flanges if rating is not equal to zero.

(4) In the RCS setup program, deleted auto run programs if iauto = 1.

(5) Estimating program: Corrected cancel out of interrim program. The program was hanging up when you tried to cancel out of this section.

(6) Flange program was not correctly calculating g0 with a mating flange; this has been corrected.

(7) U1 Data: Corrected job number string error that was causing program to hang.

(8) Floating head program:

    (a) Warning was wrong on shellside low turn, this has been corrected.

    (b) Added fh_hr.dwg to \blocks directory. Corrected dg files.

(9) Integral N-type tubesheet connections: Liquid penetrant and / or magnetic particle notes were not in full compliance with code, this has been corrected.

(10) UHX tubesheet program: Added tube joint load calculations in previous update - note that these calculations are mandatory as of 2010 edition.

(11) External Pressure Charts:

    (a) Updated all existing RCS charts to be in compliance with 2010 edition of ASME Section II Part D Code.

    (b) Added NFN-27 and NFT-5 to the RCS system.

(12) RCS Coeficient of Thermal Expansion and Modulus of Elasticity tables were updated and expanded to be in compliance with 2010 Edition of ASME Section II, Part D Code.

(13) Heat Treat and X-Ray reference notes were updated to comply with 2010 Edition of ASME Section VIII, Division I.
